Flemish stew with French fries
Chop the onions into large pieces. Heat a pot and melt a knob of butter. Cook the onions over medium heat (do not let them turn brown)
Heat a frying pan over medium heat and melt a knob of butter. Sear the stew meat in the casserole until they have a golden brown colour and season it pepper and salt.
Put the meat in the stew with onions.Heat the beer in the used pan.Once the beer is cooking, pour it into the stew.
Join some laurel leaves and a few sprigs of fresh thyme and put them in the stew.
Add the cloves and something sweet like honey or Sirop/
Spread the brown bread generously with mustard. Place the sandwich in the pot, with the buttered side down.
Let the stew simmer for one and a half to three hours on a low heat. Stir it occasionally.
If the meat sauce has its desired thickness you can place the lid on the stew.
add some French fries on your plate.

- 1 Clove
- 2 leaves Laurel
- 1 slice Brown bread
- 2 tablespoon Mustard
- 1 teaspoon Vinegar
- Pepper & Salt
