Carrot puree

Ingredients

  • 800gr carrots
  • Salt, pepper, sugar
  • Thyme, bay leaf
  • 80gr butter or 1dl cream

Directions

  • Clean the carrots and cut them into thin slices
  • Stew the carrots with thyme, bay leaf, salt, pepper and sugar until they are done
  • Add a little water
  • Pour off the carrots and put them through a vegetable-mill or mash them with a potato masher
  • Season the carrot puree with salt and pepper
  • Finish with butter or cream
  • You can bind the carrot puree with mashed potatoes if liked
