The Beka Sensa® collection is specially developed for cooking on an induction hob.

The Softbase® layer on the underside of the pot or pan provides a better grip and reduces movement and contact noise. The risk of scratching or damaging your induction hob is minimized. Our Sensa pot is fitted out with a soft-closing lid that directs steam to the extractor hood and features a built-in colander.

Softbase® is a Belgian-patented technology especially developed for cooking on induction hobs.

The soft silicone anti-slip layer sits underneath the stainless steel base, providing extra grip on the smooth surface of the hob. This reduces movement and vibration, minimizes contact noise, and the risk of spilling or scratches.

The patented Softbase® technology is developed exclusively for induction hobs. Do not use Sensa on gas, ceramic or electric hobs. Direct heat can damage both the Softbase® and the hob surface.

No. You do not need a downdraft extractor system built into the hob to use the Sensa collection.

Sensa also works with a traditional extractor hood above the hob. If you happen to have a downdraft system, the side opening in the lid directs the steam towards the extractor.

The body is made from high-quality 18/10 stainless steel, of which 91% is recycled. Sensa also features our Softbase® technology and a glass lid with a built-in pouring system.

The Beka Sensa® collection is available in Latte, Mocha and Espresso. These colours are subtly reflected in the Softbase® silicone finish and around the rim of the lid.

As of October 2026, you’ll be able to pre-order the 16 cm saucepan and the 20 and 24 cm casseroles. They’ll be widely available as of early November.

The collection will later be expanded to include frying pans. You’ll be able to pre-order these as of December, and they’ll be widely available in early 2027.

Turn the side opening of the lid towards the extractor in the hob. This directs the steam towards the downdraft system, minimizing the amount of steam escaping into the kitchen.

Turn the side opening of the lid towards the side where you wish to drain your liquid. Hold the lid firmly and carefully pour out the cooking liquid. A separate colander is not required.

Yes, both the pot and the lid are dishwasher-safe and oven-safe up to 200°C.

Clean the Softbase® by hand or in the dishwasher. When washing by hand, use a soft cloth or sponge. Avoid scouring pads, as these can damage the soft silicone.

Dry the base with a cloth or simply leave it to air dry. Due to the shape of the Softbase®, it may take a little longer for all the recesses to dry completely.

If, over time, a slight white film appears due to hard water, you can easily remove it with a little diluted lemon juice or vinegar.

The Softbase® helps minimize movement and scratches, but it is still safer to lift the pot when moving it.
