Preparation – step by step recipe
- Mix the flour, egg, milk, sugar and salt into a smooth, pourable batter.
- Let the batter rest for 5–10 minutes (this improves the texture).
- Heat a frying pan over medium heat and lightly grease with butter or oil.
- Pour a ladle of batter into the pan and swirl to coat the base thinly.
- Cook for 1–2 minutes until the top looks set and the bottom is golden. Flip and cook briefly on the other side.
- Repeat with the remaining batter.
Serve warm with yogurt, a drizzle of honey and fresh red berries.
